2. Create your first client
Everything in TrainerStudio starts with a client: their workouts, their app and their progress all hang off their profile. Creating one takes a few seconds.
Step by step
- Go to Clients and click Add client.
- Type their name. It's the only required field: last name, email and phone are optional.
- If you add their email, they'll also get an invitation by email.
- Click Create client.
The Client created successfully! window reminds you of the next steps: share their link, assign them a workout and track their progress. You can close it: you'll see all three in the next lessons.
What happens next
- Your client shows up in the list with the Pending invitation tag until they open their app for the first time.
- The Free plan box in the menu shows how many client slots you have left. Your first three clients are free, with no time limit.
- You can start building their workouts right away, even before they've logged in.
Tip: start with a real client, someone who already trains with you. Watching them train with your app is the best way to see everything you can do.
FAQ
Does my client have to sign up or download anything? No. Their account exists as soon as you create it. You'll send them an access link and they'll get straight in; that's lesson 4.
Is the email required? No. You can create them and give them access without one. If you do add it, it has to be unique: it can't already belong to another client on your account. If it says it already exists, check your archived clients.
It won't let me create more clients. You've hit your plan's limit. Archive clients who no longer train with you (they don't take up a slot) or change plans; see lesson 10.
Can I add myself as a client to test it? Yes, but remember your real client is the one who'll tell you whether everything works. To see the app from their side, check out lesson 6.
