8. Create your own exercises

The TrainerStudio library has over a thousand exercises with video, but you've surely got your own, explained your way.

Step by step

  1. Go to Library → Exercises and click Create.

  2. Type the Name. It's the only required field.

  3. Write the Instructions your client will see when they open the exercise, and add Tags (type and press Enter) so you can find it later.

  4. Under Media, click Add videos and photos and choose:

    • Upload video or Upload image from your computer or phone;
    • YouTube/Vimeo link;
    • External link to a guide or article.

    The first image or YouTube or Vimeo thumbnail becomes the cover.

  5. Classification and Workload control are optional. Click Save exercise: if anything is missing, the footer tells you what.

The exercise shows up in your exercise list labelled Created by you, ready to use with any client.

Without leaving the plan

If you're programming and can't find an exercise, click Create “…” at the bottom of the search, next to "None of these?". The form opens with the name you typed and, when you save it, the exercise is added straight to the workout.

FAQ

I can't upload my video. Try a shorter video, or upload it to YouTube (it can be unlisted) and paste the link: it looks just as good in your client's app.

Can an uploaded video be the cover? No. The cover is an image, a GIF or a YouTube or Vimeo video's thumbnail.

Do I have to create all my exercises before I start? No. Use the exercises in TrainerStudio's libraries, mark your favorites and create your own as you need them.
