3. Build their first workout

Every client has their own plan: their week laid out in days, and each day split into blocks (for example, a warm-up and a main part) with exercises inside.

Step by step

  1. In Clients, click your client's name. Their Plan opens.
  2. On the day you want, click Add block, then click its title to name it (for example, "Main part").
  3. Inside the block, click Add exercises or content and choose Add exercise. You can also add circuits, tasks or forms.
  4. In the search, type the exercise name, for example "squat", and click it to add it to the block. The list brings together your exercises and those in TrainerStudio's libraries, over a thousand; the ones with video show a camera icon.
  5. Click Add series on the exercise. A table opens that works like a spreadsheet:
    • Click Add set to create each row (every new set copies the previous one).
    • Fill in reps, weight, RPE or rest.
    • If you need another variable (work time, distance, % 1RM, RIR…), add it with + Column.
  6. Click Save. You'll see the set summary right on the exercise, for example 3x8-12@50kg RPE8 (60s).

Copy days to avoid repeating work

Click the copy icon in the day header, then Paste on the day where you want to repeat it.

Good to know

  • There's nothing to publish. Changes to the plan save instantly and your client sees them in their app as soon as they open it. The sets table is the exception: it saves when you click Save.
  • You can build the plan even if your client hasn't logged in to their app yet.

FAQ

I can't find an exercise in the library. Create it with your own video and cues right from the same search, with Create exercise. That's lesson 8.

Can I reuse a session with other clients? Yes: save it as a template or create a program. That's lesson 9.

How do I mark a rest day? Open the day's ⋮ menu and choose Rest.
